Incorporating a company in Hong Kong entails complying with the same reporting obligations as a Hong Kong company. This involves registering the company for business with the Business Registration Office of the IRD and filing profit tax returns issued by the IRD.

If the company has profits that are subject to tax but has not received any return from the IRD, it must notify the IRD in writing about its liability within four months after the end of the basis period for that year of assessment.

Additionally, the company must maintain adequate records (in English or Chinese) to facilitate the determination of its assessable profits. These records must be retained for at least seven years after the completion of the relevant transactions.
