Here’s an overview of the chargeback process:

  1. The buyer initiates a chargeback.
  2. PayCEC is notified of the chargeback.
  3. The bank deducts the chargeback amount from PayCEC, and PayCEC holds the funds temporarily in the seller’s account.
  4. PayCEC notifies the seller via email as soon as possible.
  5. The seller provides PayCEC with proof of purchase to contest the chargeback.
  6. PayCEC challenges the chargeback and awaits the credit card company’s decision.
  7. If the investigation favors the seller, PayCEC is reimbursed, and the held funds are released back to the seller’s PayCEC account.
